Your sponsoring Rotary Club and District in your Home
Country will prepare you for your stay in Germany. We expect, that you know
the Rules and Requirements when you arrive in Germany.
However, we will try to ease your preparations with some specifics about Germany and the
Rotary Youth Exchange program in our country.
Welcome Letter:
All Inbounds receive a Welcome Letter together with the return of their
completed Guarantee Forms. Please check here
District:
After you have received your hosting information - latest after you got back
the completed Guarantee Form - you should contact your District
Chairman, your Host Club and Host Parents to
introduce yourself.
Arrival:
We expect your arrival some days before school starts after the summer break. Here you find the requested arrival dates for 2011. Please
check early with your travel agent to book your flight. You have to have an
open end return ticket. In case you have any problems with the dates, contact
your Host District Chair
immediately and before you book.
Health, Accident, Liability Insurance:
All Inbound students have to buy a Health, Accident and Liability Insurance
with the German Insurance Company HanseMerkur. The insurance cover begins when
you leave your home country on the direct flight to your Host District/Club. You
have to enroll online latest six weeks before you leave your home country.More Information. For enrollment check here.
Schooling:
The school system is different in most countries. Attending school regularly is
a requirement; you have to go to school during your exchange year, even if you
have finished with school at home. You should familiarize yourself with the
